HISTORY
Bone inlay is a term used to describe an old decorative method that entails hand-carved, finely detailed pieces of bone being inserted into an object's surface. An eye-catching pattern of contrasting colors and textures is the outcome, frequently floral or geometric, and it adds surface beauty to any space.
Although the technique's beginnings are unknown, we do know that it has spanned continents, eras, and civilizations. Examples of this may be found in the adorned furniture of ancient Egypt, the lacquerware of eighteenth-century Japan, and the structures built during the Mughal Empire in India.
